December 6th, 2023 marked a milestone at the Akron Urban League's Career Clothing Closet with the presentation of 175 bras, a gesture that symbolizes support in every sense of the word.
This was made possible by the collaboration of the Kent Area (OH) Chapter, The Links Incorporated, and the Akron Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
We're not just providing essentials; we're also arming our community with knowledge about breast cancer. The statistics are more than numbers; they're a call to action for risk reduction and the importance of screening mammography for early detection.
We're proud to partner with Aultman, Summa, and University Hospitals Portage Medical Center to offer education and resources for no-cost mammograms. It’s about accessibility, awareness, and advocacy.
